Craft show offers more than 200 exhibitors (Carroll County Online)

The huge Country Peddler Craft Show will set up shop at the Frederick Fairgrounds Friday through Sunday. The show brings together top exhibitors from the Midwest and East Coast offering everything from stained glass and framed artwork to clothing and gourmet food items.

Lt. Col. Hortense (Bo) Boutell, a designer whose artistic bent was cultivated in her mother’s Minneapolis dress shop, and who was the first woman in Army khaki in World War II, died in her home in Washington, D.C., on July 15. She was 93. Boutell worked as a costume designer for a Hollywood studio before the war, and after retiring from the Army she became a stained-glass-window designer in

RACINE - There were paintings and drawings, stained glass, photographs, all the lighthouse pictures you could wish for, plenty of handmade glass objects and tents full of pottery, but in the whole of the Starving Artist Fair at Gateway Technical College, there was one tent with basketry.
